A Constant Rumble

A constant rumble
Humming loud in the background:
The wake of people.

Bouquet

Shimmering cover
Over many legs of green:
Dying in beauty

Hints of Rain

Sunlight turned to gray,
An extra woosh as cars pass,
And light percussion

Forgotten

A shifting flicker
Slipping, ghostly, through the mind
Then disappearing

Feathers

Bright, light silky strands
In dimensional concert:
Flight, warmth, protection

Black Threads

Innocuous curves:
Black threads like a giant web
And far more deadly

Night Train

A giant’s bellow
Echoing through the quiet:
Freeing the statues

Crashing Cans

Rumbling thunder
Echoes through bright, sunny streets
Amid crashing cans

Morning Traffic

A rumbling woosh
In nonsynchronous chorus:
Held by colored lights

Summer Storm

Fast, glistening streaks
Sparkling through bright sunbeams:
A shower of light
