Tangled Web

Spider-like, they sit and watch
Subtle, deceptive
Camouflaged
Hidden

You walk beneath them
Beside them
Their webs cling unnoticed
Until the fangs
Pierce
Sink
Drain

Again and again
Another and another
Sucking out all that you had
Have
Will have

Until even the husk
Collapses
Into dust
