A Seed Embedded Deep

A seed embedded deep in the heart
Laying dormant but for its tug
That root that pulls, a yearning
Unlike any other, it seems.
But where did it come from?
This tiny, strong seed?
And who is the planter,
The planter of dreams?

Vacation’s Way

Summer’s peak
Amazing heat
Beats down upon our lowly brows

Rain’s delight
The clouds ignite
And cast their fury on the world

Humidity’s height
Holds you tight
Squeezing like a serpent’s grin

Vacation’s end
Farewell, my friend
And back to school and work again

Dedicated to teachers: That time is coming soon. May you enjoy the break while it lasts!
